What the site covers
The market for data used to train AI models has become large and opaque at the same time. Content owners report licence income in filings, programmes advertise payouts to companies, and software vendors set deletion clocks that decide what records survive at all. This site puts those facts side by side:
- Prices: reported unit prices for text, images, video, books and expert hours.
- Deals: every licensing deal we could find with a disclosed value.
- Programmes: who pays for company records, on what published terms.
- Licence clauses: exclusivity, timing, fees and referral pay compared.
- Retention: how long eight common tools keep data after cancellation.
Who it is for
Owners and finance leads comparing programmes, analysts and journalists following the market, lawyers reviewing a licence, and administrators planning a shutdown of tools. The site does not buy, sell or broker data, and it does not value individual companies.
Disclosure
The publisher also operates a data brokerage service. It is not listed, ranked or promoted on this site.
Funding
The site is paid for by its publisher. It carries no advertising, takes no payment for listings and has no affiliate links. The two forms on the site (the monthly price update and the offer check request) exist to build a readership and answer questions; we do not sell the details sent through them.
How figures are handled
Every number comes from one data file with a source link and a checked date per row; the current set was checked on 18 Oct 2026. We quote in the source's own words and currency, and leave out what we cannot read at the source. The full rules are on the methodology page.
Photographs
Photographs on the site are generated scenes, used for illustration. None of them shows our team, staff of a programme, or anyone quoted on the site.
