What Replay says, section by section

What it takes

Historical operating records: code and commit history, decision threads, financial records, support history, product logs, presentations, CRM and sales conversations, internal documents and analytics. Replay says records are de-identified before any licence and that raw data is never sold or shared.

Published payouts

Three bands on the homepage, by employee count: 20 to 50 ($10K to $100K), 50 to 250 ($100K to $1M), 250 and up ($1,000,000+). Replay calls headcount a proxy and says years operating, industry, applications used and data volume also count. Its valuation form asks about operating status, years (under 2 to 10+), peak headcount (1 to 9 up to 200+), the share of communication in English and whether you own a codebase.

Licence and exclusivity

Replay's example licence for buyers is perpetual and covers training, evaluation and model development. Its terms say the figures it shows do not constitute an offer. Exclusivity toward the company is not addressed.

Who it licenses to

Frontier AI and data labs only, according to Replay, never foreign adversaries and never through resellers. Its buyer page says Replay is neither a marketplace nor a broker.

What it does not publish

These points were not on Replay's public pages when we checked on 18 Oct 2026. They are the questions to put in writing before signing anything.

  • The revenue-share percentage
  • Whether a licence can be exclusive
  • A referral fee (none published)

Upfront cash plus a perpetual revenue share on every later licence of the same data. Replay does not publish the share percentage.

04Is Replay a marketplace or a broker?

Its buyer page says no to both. Replay licenses the data itself to the labs it works with.
